On 11 March, the government laid out the changes that are to be made in the 2020 Budget.
The announcements cover several temporary measures to assist businesses in dealing with the unexpected costs of the Coronavirus outbreak. Unfortunately many of the headline announcements are subject to additional consultation by the government, meaning that any financial support could well be delayed.
If you are concerned over existing or upcoming tax liabilities, HMRC have set up a new dedicated line to assist. Initial feedback is that they are taking a very commercial and supportive approach. More information can be found in our Budget update below.
